Plan Heaven is a company that builds and maintains long-term maintenance plans (LTMPs).
Because that's just about all we do, we have to be very good at it.
To achieve the goal of providing the best possible LTMPs, in 2014, we took a step back to carry out a complete review of what we were doing, and at that time realised that the traditional method of preparing LTMPs wasn't fit for the purpose.
The new plan-building industry - including ourselves - that rose up to satisfy the new rules was building plans that were often difficult to understand and even more difficult to update. Some plans were incomplete and didn't include important items or included cost calculations that were wildly inaccurate. With some of the cheaper cookie-cutter versions, you wondered if the planner had even visited the site, while some of the more expensive ones were too costly to maintain over the long term.
One of the problems we identified was that, in spite of LTMPs being mandatory in law for bodies corporate since 2012, there were - and still are - no industry standards for LTMPs.
After our review, we threw out everything we had been doing and started again. To achieve the goal of creating plans that are complete, accurate and easy to read, we built our own standards. To achieve easier and lower costs of maintaining plans over the long term, we built a web app and introduced a subscription-based business model.
That's the abbreviated story. If you want more detail, please explore these pages. Here you'll be able to review what we believe makes a beautiful LTMP and why our plans are cheaper to maintain over the long term. Within these pages, you will also find what we believe to be the only published information explaining what a high-quality LTMP should look like.
After reading these pages, we hope you will better understand what every body corporate should expect to find n their LTMP.
